What You Need to Know About Advisement and Registration

Schedule an appointment with your advisor!  You will find your advisor’s contact information on myRedDragon.  It is your responsibility to make the appointment.  You must meet with your advisor to receive your registration PIN.
Be prepared for your appointment:  Review your CAPP and become familiar with your degree requirements.  Write down questions so that you don’t forget things to ask your advisor once you are at your meeting.  Take a look at the course schedule and begin planning what you’d like to take.
During your appointment: Generate a schedule with your advisor and include a list of alternate classes.  Prepare a schedule that combines both GE and major requirements for a good balance.  After you meet with your advisor you will then be responsible to register for your classes on your own time.
Time Ticket: You will have access to your time ticket through myRedDragon.  Your time ticket is based on your number of completed credit hours.  You can register anytime after your time ticket has been activated.
How you get your PIN:  Your advisor will assign you your registration PIN.  Make sure to schedule a meeting with your advisor to discuss registration and to receive your PIN.  Without your PIN you cannot register.  Your PIN is different from your myRedDragon login.
On hold for what?  Make sure before you register that you have checked for any “holds” on your account which may prevent you from registering.  You can find out if you have holds by checking myRedDragon.  You can receive a hold from unpaid parking tickets, overdue library books, or any balance due.
How to register: Login to myRedDragon and click on the student tab.  On the left hand side under Registrar choose Registration or Drop and Add classes to begin the process.  Also in the Registrar channel is the course schedule where you can search for your classes.
